The Beauty of Argostoli, Greece & Melissani Lake
Argostoli is the capital and main port of the island of Kefalonia, Greece. It is also the municipality with the largest land area on the island. The town is a popular tourist destination, with many visitors coming to enjoy the beaches, the restaurants, and the nightlife. There are also a number of historical and cultural attractions in Argostoli, such as the Korgialenios Library and the Archaeological Museum. The town is also home to a number of festivals throughout the year, including the Argostoli Carnival in February and the Zante Festival in September.
Melissani Lake
Melissani Lake, also known as the Cave of the Nymphs, is a magical place located on the island of Kefalonia in Greece. This stunning blue lagoon is accessible via a small opening in the rocks and features a cathedral-like ceiling with stalactites. Visitors can take a boat ride around the lake to admire the ethereal beauty of this natural wonder.
While Melissani Lake is cool to see, it was a bit of a tourist trap. Perhaps if you saw it outside of a large group, when a cruise is not in port, and perhaps do it via Kayak it would have been more special. While cool to do once, I am not sure I would go back.
