Camden Market is open every day of the week, so you can visit whenever it’s convenient for you, but we found it more lively on the weekend.

Camden Town is a neighborhood in north London, and Camden Market is located within Camden Town. Camden Town is known for its alternative culture and arts scene. The neighborhood is also home to many live music venues, making it the perfect place to visit for music lovers. Camden Town is easily accessible by public transportation, making it the perfect day trip from London.
If you travel to Camden Market via tube station you will end up in the middle of Camden town and be able to enjoy the weird storefronts that line the street. We found the stores to be a bit on the tourist trap side, but the vibe of the area was worth the visit as you walked to and from the subway station. We didn’t visit at night, but it didn’t seem like it would be very family-friendly, so I suggest early visits to the area if you have children.

We arrived at Camden Market shortly before opening and were able to walk around in a quiet setting as the shops began to open. The market itself is huge and you can easily spend the whole day there shopping, eating and people watching. Our itinerary included enough time to spend our morning there as we as have lunch at one of the many food stands.

There are so many different food options available that you won’t know where to start!
With so many options we decided to eat small portions at several locations. This way we could try a bunch of different foods and not feel weighed down by any one meal. Camden Market is the perfect place to graze as you walk around and shop.
Some of our favorite dishes included:
– The pulled pork sandwich from Honest Burgers
– The churros from Churros Garcia
– The crepes from La Creperie de Camden
– The cheese sandwiches from The Cheese Bar
– And the doughnuts from Crosstown Doughnuts.
For those that may have visited before, our hope was to start our eating day at Cereal Killer which is a uniquely odd establishment that serves cereal of all kinds and generations. I was able to visit this location on my prior trip, but due to the pandemic had been closed on our most recent trip. There are other locations around London that I believe are still open, but its Camden Market location was always fun to go to and fit the overall vibe of the market.
Shopping at Camden Market
In addition to food, there are plenty of shops at Camden Market selling everything from clothes to souvenirs. Be sure to bargain with the vendors – it’s all part of the fun! You’ll find unique items that you won’t be able to find anywhere else. Camden Market is the perfect place to pick up some souvenirs for friends and family back home.
There are also plenty of places to find Camden Market clothing. If you’re looking for vintage clothes, the Stables Market is the place to go. Or, if you’re looking for something a little more modern, check out one of the many Camden Market stores selling streetwear. No matter your style, you’re sure to find something you’ll love at Camden Market.
We spent the majority of our shopping time in the Stables Market area. This is where most of the vintage and antique shops are located where you can find some unique products including steampunk clothing to the Mad Hatters Store. Camden Market is a great place to find one-of-a-kind items that you’ll love. With so much to see and do, you could easily spend an entire day here.

Camden Market is a must-visit destination for anyone visiting London! and would recommend adding it to your itinerary. This was my second visit and would certainly go again on my next trip. Even if you’re not looking to buy anything, it was a great way to spend a half day outside of the normal downtown London sites.
